We collect information you provide directly when you register for an account, request access to courses, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, and role (student or teacher).

We also automatically collect limited technical data such as session tokens (stored in secure httpOnly cookies) necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to operate the Peak Seek platform:

• To authenticate your account and maintain your session
• To provide access to the courses and live classes you are enrolled in
• To send you session reminders and enrollment confirmations
• To track your lesson progress so you can resume where you left off
• To allow teachers and administrators to manage enrollment

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database hosted on a private server. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using bcrypt. Session tokens are stored in httpOnly, Secure cookies that cannot be accessed by browser JavaScript.

We implement rate limiting and audit logging on sensitive operations such as login attempts and password resets.

4. Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie named token to keep you signed in. This cookie is:

• httpOnly — not accessible to JavaScript
• SameSite=Lax — protected from cross-site request forgery
• Secure — transmitted only over HTTPS in production
• Valid for 7 days, after which you must sign in again

We do not use any other cookies, including advertising or analytics cookies.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Peak Seek serves students preparing for academic examinations, including minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has registered without your consent, please contact us and we will remove the account promptly.
